"Engaging" was created after seeing a Red Tailed Hawk in my backyard. I took a few photos of him and later painted this painting in watercolor for a demonstration with the Arts Institute Group of the Merrimack Valley in Methuen, MA. I wanted to capture the look he gave me as he perched in the rich early spring greens of the maple tree.
